I am Lilian Thorpe. My father, Wilferd Peterson, died just short of his 95th birthday. His ten books, published by Simon and Schuster, Hay House and BBS Publishing Company have spanned 37 years and have been printed in six different languages. Only very recently in April 2000, The Art of Parenthood appeared in "Dear Abby".     Many times Abby has printed my father's essay,  Slow Me Down, Lord in her column.   To bring these essays to more people, I have made them available in counted cross stitch. In this web site, you will see the six essays in their shorter version made into patterns for cross stitchers that are now being offered.

I am hopeful that your interest in these patterns will warrant the production of more. Indeed there is a wonderful selection of essays from which to choose beyond the six presented here. A hardback edition of many of the best of my father's essays is available for purchase; I hope you will consider including it in your order. Some of the essays presented in this collection explore vital areas of living including success, failure, friendship, forgiveness, changing yourself and retirement.
